밝고 친근한 미소, 약간의 허스키한 매력적인 목소리-도리스 데이는 50~60년대 젊은이들의 오아시스 같은 구원의 여인이었다. 가수로, 은막의 스타로, 50여장의 앨범과 40여편의 영화로 다가와 푸근한 누이 같던 그녀도 이젠 80을 넘긴 할머니가 되어 있지만, 'Secret Love' 'Journey Guitar' 'Que Sera Sera'등 주옥같은 노래들은 아직도 우리 곁에 싱싱하다. 아래 동영상은 영화 'Calamity Jane' (1953)에서 '시크릿 러브'를 부르는 장면을 캡처한 것이다.
